WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO REMOVE NEGATIVE AND LIMITING BELIEFS?

Negative, limiting and self-sabotaging beliefs are capable of undermining and neutralizing most sincere intentions and efforts. They can limit our potential and our success in life, compromise emotional relationships, or even determine our choice of profession. They affect the individual in such a way that she limits herself to the experiences which confirm them. This contributes to their strength and longevity. These beliefs have extraordinary power over our lives.

This is why, if they are negative or limiting, they will continue to undermine our conscious efforts until we alter them. It seems logical to remove negative and self-limiting beliefs if we want to live a truly wholesome life. Also, if we want to achieve any goal we can’t expect to achieve anything significant if we believe that we will not succeed, that we don’t deserve success or that achievement of the goal is impossible. Therefore the removal of deep-rooted, conscious, and unconscious beliefs is an important step in the accomplishment of inner peace and increasing the quality of everyday life.

The 3 Key Steps to Overcome Your Limiting Beliefs:

1. WRITE OUT YOUR NEGATIVE BELIEFS
Write out the negative belief you have, verbalize it, and accept it’s a fear of yours. Just saying it out loud will help you realize what’s holding you back. Anytime I feel stuck (which is like every other day) I think to myself “what’s stopping me?”

2. DETERMINE WHAT INSTILLED THESE BELIEFS
We are influenced by many things, but mainly people. News, media, friends, colleagues, and family all heavily influence what we believe to be true. Sometimes our deepest fears are from traumatic encounters, childhood memories, and other people’s fears projected onto us. The next step to get rid of your limiting beliefs is to find out the source of them.

3. DETERMINE YOUR NEW POSITIVE BELIEF
Okay now for the happy part of this process! What new belief do you want to believe!? Yes, you get to decide. I for sure don’t want to be stuck with those negative thinking patterns. So instead I’m changing my beliefs to be more positive!

Clearing these negative beliefs needs daily practice. Expanding your awareness is key.

Below are some daily tips for you:

Notice Your Triggers:
Everything on the outside is triggered. Like, you know, making me feel all this negative stuff.

Notice Your Inner Feelings:
Notice the feelings that are triggers within you, right? So if you’re constantly experiencing a lack of financial well-being, you might always be feeling um, uncertain. You might be feeling and so once you begin to do that, unworthy, undervalued like you’re inferior to other people who do have money.

Accept Your Feelings:
Welcome and embrace your feeling and go right into it and then go above it. And so you are that awareness, experiencing this emotion or this kind of experience even. And ask yourself, why am I experiencing this? Like what do I believe to be true about myself that is causing me this feeling? So maybe you believe to be like you believe that you are, and this won’t be a conscious belief, right?

So once you start to flow your awareness into these negative definitions that you hold to be true about yourself and these negative beliefs automatically in your mind, and it’s not something you have to do consciously, I promise automatically you create this distinction, the separation between you and that feeling.
